Iron is one of the elements is clearly stated in the Qur'an. In Surat al-Hadid, meaning "iron", we are told as follows:"... And We sent down iron in whom there is a great power and a wide range of benefits to humans ...." (Qur'an, 57:25)
The word "anzalnaa" which means "we sent down" is specifically used for iron in the verse, can be interpreted figuratively to explain that iron was created for the benefit of humans. But when we consider the literal meaning of this word, which is "in material derived from the sky", we will realize that this verse has a very important scientific miracle.
This is because modern astronomical discoveries have revealed that the iron metal found in the earth we come from giant stars in outer space.Heavy metals in the universe created and produced in the core of massive stars.
However, our solar system does not have a structure that is suitable for producing iron independently. Iron can only be made and produced in stars are much bigger than the sun, the temperature reaches a few hundred million degrees.
When the amount of iron exceeds a certain level in a star, the star can no longer bear it, and eventually explodes in what is called a "nova" or a "supernova".
As a result of this explosion, meteors containing iron are scattered all over the universe, and they move through a vacuum to experience the gravitational pull of the celestial body.
All this shows that iron metal is not formed in the earth but the shipment of stars that exploded in space via meteors and "down to the earth", exactly as stated in the verse: It is clear that this fact can not be scientifically known in the century 7th when the Qur'an was revealed.
