Function Mount ~ Miracles of the Qur'an

Share it Please
Qur'an directs our attention to the important geological function of mountains."And We have placed in the earth firm mountains that the earth was (not) shake with them ..." (Qur'an, 21:31)
As can be seen, it is stated in the verse that mountains prevents turbulence in the Earth's surface.
This fact was not known by anyone at the time when the Qur'an was revealed. In fact, it has just been revealed as a result of the invention of modern geology.
According to the invention, mountains emerge as a result of the movement and collisions of massive plates that form the earth's crust. When two plates collide, the stronger plates slip under the sole plate, while above the fold and form a plateau and mountains.
The bottom layer moves beneath the surface and form a deep extension downward. This means that part of the mountain had pierced deep down, no less magnitude to that seen on the surface of the earth. In scientific literature, the structure of mountains is described as follows:
On the continent are thicker, as in mountain ranges, the crust would sink deeper into the layers of magma. (General Science, Carolyn Sheets, Robert Gardner, Samuel F. Howe; Allyn and Bacon Inc. Newton, Massachusetts, 1985, s. 305)
In a verse, this role is expressed through the mountain like a parable as "pegs":
"Have We not made the earth as an overlay ?, and the mountains as pegs?" (Qur'an, 78: 6-7)
In other words, mountains grip plates of the Earth's crust by extending upward and downward surface of the earth at the points of meeting these plates.
In this way, they pitched the crust and prevent it from bobbing above the magma layer or between the dial-plate. In short, we can equate the mountain with nails that make sheets of wood remain united.
Erection of a mountain function described in the scientific literature with the term "isostacy". Isostacy meaningful as follows:
Isostacy: equilibrium in the Earth's crust that is maintained by the flow of rock material beneath the surface due to the pressure of gravity. (Webster's New Twentieth Century Dictionary, 2. edition "isostasy", New York, s. 975)
Important role mountain discovered by modern geology and seismic research, was revealed in the Qur'an centuries ago as an evidence Exalted Wisdom in God's creation.
"And We have placed in the earth firm mountains that the earth was (not) shake with them ..." (Qur'an, 21:31)
